What major retail stores allow small dogs?
Please do not reply with your opinion of whether or not SHOULD bring my dog into a store, I'm simply asking if where she would be allowed. She is a 3 llb Yorkie and I have a pet carrier purse for her. I'm in Phoenix, Arizona....

Obviously pet stores would allow me to bring her in, I am looking for someone who actually knows the law and or health code to answer... not for your rude opinion about me and who you think I am... get a life and just be NICE!
I don't live in Pheonix so I can't speak for all of the stores there, but when I got my puppy I asked different stores at our mall and found out that I was allowed to bring him into all the retail stores except the department store. I have taken my dog into J.Crew, Gap, Anthropologie, Juicy Couture, BCBG, etc etc. and he is always greeted with lots of hugs from customers and salespeople. In addition, one day I really needed to go into the department store that I was supposedly not allowed to take him into, and not one person said a word. Again, everyone greeted him adoringly. Some stores even let me bring him in walking on his leash out of his carrier. I also sit outside with him at restuarants at the mall such as Cheesecake Factory, Maggiano's, Mitchell's Seafood, etc. And have taken him into Target, Blockbuster, Lowe's and more without any problems.
So obviously I don't think this is a silly questions. I think with major stores like Target and Lowe's bringing dogs in is universally accepted, but if you're wanting to take your Yorkie shopping at the mall my advice would be to call up your mall and see what their policy is before packing your pup up for the trip. And ultimately anytime I take him somewhere with me I make sure it's for casual shopping so I don't get disappointed if for some reason someone does approach me about leaving. The alternative is always to ask for forgiveness over permission. Good Luck and Happy Shopping!
